Joan received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Niagara University in New York as well as an MS in both Pediatric and Family Practice from the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners as well as a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. Joan has been at Kentwood Square Medical Center since 1994
